a program for evaluating diffraction profiles using the momentum method
developed by A. Borbely and I. Groma:

Several years ago I wrote a simple program for simulating galaxy-collisions. The program presents an animation in a window using the X11R6 library, or optionally saves pictures.
This is a picture demonstrating the formation of the spiral arms.
